We checked 16 Beverley shops, from the Beverley Bookshop to Gemini's bean-to-bar chocolate, for opening hours and Christmas dates. Updated November 2026.
Beverley has 16 shops and shopping spots worth a Christmas trip in 2026, and this guide puts them in one place with opening hours, addresses and what each one sells. The Beverley Bookshop on Butcher Row, Browns in the Corn Exchange, Guest & Philips on Saturday Market and Gemini’s chocolate shop on North Bar Within are the names most people land on. Every entry was checked against the shop’s own website on 5 November 2026, and we say where a shop does not publish something.
We have not shopped at any of these for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry says what the shop says it sells, in its own words where we quote them. Hours often change close to Christmas, so check before a special trip.
Dates for the Christmas shopping diary

Saturdays 28 November and 5, 12 and 19 December: free council parking. East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s notice suspends charges in Beverley’s car parks and on-street bays on those four Saturdays. Details are on our free Christmas parking page, and prices for the other days are on our parking in Beverley page.
Sunday 13 December: Beverley Festival of Christmas, 10am to 4pm, with more than 120 stalls across Saturday Market, Wednesday Market and North Bar Within, and a free park and ride from Beverley Racecourse. Road closures, times and the parade are on our Festival of Christmas page.
Late-night shopping. No town-wide late-night shopping evening had been announced for Beverley when we checked. Nearby, Cottingham’s shops hold one on Thursday 10 December and Howden Shire Hall opens 4pm to 8pm on Thursday 3 December; both are on our East Riding Christmas markets page.

How we chose
We started from the Beverley Independents Map published by Visit East Yorkshire (information correct as of May 2026) and kept the shops that sell things people buy as Christmas presents and that publish their own address and details online. Opening hours, addresses and Christmas dates come from each shop’s own website on 5 November 2026. Some names on the map are missing because their websites have lapsed or we could not find one: Ladygate Interiors, Lairgate Galleries, Islay Bloom and Gallery 21 among them. White Rabbit Chocolatiers on Dyer Lane announced its closure in 2022. Daniella Draper and Browns have shops in other towns too; Browns is still family-owned.
