Butt Farm and Bewholme pumpkin patches open to 31 October, Trick or Treat Street at North Cave from 24 Oct (£24.95), plus Sewerby and Burton Agnes trails.

Halloween in the East Riding is mostly a pumpkin-patch and half-term affair, and the two patches are open now. Butt Farm on the edge of Beverley and The Pumpkin Patch at Bewholme near Hornsea both run to Saturday 31 October. The biggest ticketed event is Trick or Treat Street at William’s Den in North Cave, from 24 to 31 October, and Sewerby Hall and Burton Agnes Hall both run Halloween trails across half term, which for council-calendar schools is 26 to 30 October.

Pumpkin patches

Butt Farm Pumpkin Patch, Beverley

The White family’s patch at Butt Farm, Victoria Road, Beverley HU17 8PJ, opened on 26 September. Entry is a donation of your choice to Yorkshire Air Ambulance, there is no pre-booking and parking is free. Hours are 10am to 4pm.

It is not open every day until half term. The farm’s own list of 2026 open days:

Dates Open
Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October Yes
Friday 9 to Monday 12 October Yes
Friday 16 to Monday 19 October Yes
Friday 23 to Saturday 31 October Daily

During half term the farm adds face painting (24 to 31 October), Halloween crafts (24, 25, 26, 27, 29 and 30 October), and free pumpkin carving and marshmallow toasting (26 to 31 October). There is a spooky trail with a glamping-weekend prize.

  • Dogs are not allowed on the patch except at the ticketed Howloween evenings, Sundays 4, 11 and 18 October, 4pm to 6pm, one ticket per dog, sold online or at Oh My Dog! in Beverley.
  • SEND sessions with fewer visitors run on Saturday 10 October and Tuesday 27 October, 9am to 10am, booked in advance.
  • It is a working farm, so expect mud. The farm says buses X46 and X47 stop about ten minutes’ walk away, and the patch is signed from the A164 and A1079.

The Pumpkin Patch at Bewholme, near Hornsea

The Pumpkin Patch at Bewholme grows more than 45 varieties of pumpkin, gourd and squash. It runs two things a quarter of a mile apart:

  • The farm displays and pumpkin shop, Homeland Farm, Catfoss Road, Bewholme YO25 8DX: free entry and parking, open daily from 3 October, 10am to 5pm, up to Halloween, per its farm page.
  • The pick-your-own field: £2 a person, under-2s free, no booking, 10am to 4pm on 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18 October and every day from 24 to 31 October.

In the field there is a Golden Pumpkin hidden at each session, a letter trail, pumpkin games, and carving on site, which the farm prices at £2.50 with a mini kit to take home (the pumpkin is extra). Food comes from visiting traders. No dogs at either site, and every pick-your-own day is weather dependent, so check the farm’s Facebook before a long drive.

Trick or Treat Street, William’s Den, North Cave

The adventure play park at William’s Den, Castle Farm, Wold Hill, North Cave HU15 2LS, runs its own outdoor Halloween event, separate from the play park:

  • Dates: Saturday 24 to Saturday 31 October 2026, closed Monday 26 October.
  • Hours: 11am to 8pm. You book a timed slot for the 45-minute to one-hour mystery (11.30am to 12.30pm, 2.30pm to 3.15pm or 5.30pm to 6.30pm starts) and can stay before and after it.
  • Prices: £24.95 adult, £21.95 child, plus a 75p booking fee per ticket. Fairground rides, food and drink cost extra. Everything is pre-booked.
  • What it is: a “spooky-not-scary” village called Denville with a family whodunnit about a missing church bell, trick-or-treating, a Monster Disco, a Boneyard Dig, a maze and a fancy dress competition. It is all outdoors on uneven ground, so bring an all-terrain pushchair if you need one.

Trick or Treat Street does not include the indoor and outdoor play park, which is open 10am to 2pm through half term on its own ticket. The Den’s bell hunt has hidden 30 bells in businesses from Beverley and Cottingham to Pocklington and Howden; scanning one gives 10% off Trick or Treat Street.

Spooky Sewerby, Bridlington

Spooky Sewerby runs from Saturday 24 October to Sunday 1 November with Halloween-themed gardens, the Love Exploring augmented reality dance trail, spooky magic shows and face painting, Wildcats craft sessions and Rusticus wizard walks. Sewerby’s prices page charges a half-term day ticket for those nine days covering house, gardens, woodland walk and zoo, with events included unless stated:

Day ticket, 24 October to 1 November Price
Adult £13.75
Child (3 to 15) £9.75
Family (2 adults, 2 children) £43.50

The day-by-day programme is on our October half term page. From 2 November the gardens are free again until March.

Burton Agnes Hall Halloween Trail

Burton Agnes Hall’s Halloween Trail, between Driffield and Bridlington, puts handcrafted Halloween scenes through the woodland from Saturday 24 October to Sunday 1 November, 11am to 5pm. There is no extra charge: it is included in the gardens ticket, which the hall’s prices page sets at £12.50 adult, £8 child (4 to 15), under-4s free, or £33 for two adults and two children. Dogs on leads are welcome, though not in the adventure playground. The woodland shuts in gale force winds; the hall asks you to ring 01262 490324 if the forecast looks bad.

Indoors: Bridlington Spa and the libraries

  • Magic Mike Not So Spooky Halloween Show, Bridlington Spa, Sunday 25 October, 2pm: a panto-style family show with Count Chuckula, on the Spa’s what’s on listing.
  • The council’s touring library shows over half term, The Mountain Witch and Myth Monster, are listed with times on our half term page.

What we could not confirm

  • Burton Constable Hall ran a Halloween day called Witchy Mayhem on 31 October 2025. Its events listing shows nothing for Halloween 2026 so far.
  • RSPB Bempton Cliffs has run Halloween evenings in past years, but its events site would not load for us, so we have not listed a 2026 date.

We will add both if they publish dates.

Getting there

Half-term roadworks are on our roadworks and travel page, and Beverley car park prices and hours are on parking in Beverley. Butt Farm and both Bewholme sites say their parking is free.
