Winterlight: The Tudor Glow runs from Thursday 3 to Wednesday 23 December 2026, with timed entry from 4pm each evening. Adult tickets are £23.50. It is new for 2026, so there are no reviews or past years to go on: everything below comes from the hall’s own event page, read on 3 October.

What it is
Burton Constable describes Winterlight as a free-flow outdoor light trail through the Capability Brown parkland and around the outside of the Elizabethan hall, with lit trees, glowing paths, projections onto the building and installations in Tudor colours: gold, crimson, scarlet and royal purple. It is not a guided tour. You go round at your own pace once your slot starts.
The hall puts the route at about 645 metres (2,117 feet). How long it takes depends on how often you stop. Hot food and drink are sold along the way.

Getting there and parking
Burton Constable is at Skirlaugh, HU11 4LN, in Holderness north-east of Hull. The hall says parking is free, including accessible parking, and that everyone must use the visitor car park: there is no parking outside the Hall.
For roadworks on the routes in, see our roadworks and travel page. If you are making a day of it in Beverley first, car parks and charging hours are on parking in Beverley.
Access and what to wear
The trail is outdoors in December, so dress warmly and wear proper footwear. The hall says its usual grounds are mainly gravel paths that can be uneven in places. Its page does not yet give a clear answer on wheelchair and pushchair access for the trail itself, so ring the hall on 01964 562400 or email enquiries@burtonconstable.com before you book if that matters to you.
